DCS5 Digital Fish Boards

The DCS5 is the most user-friendly, adaptable, lowest-cost electronic fish-board on the market.

The DCS5 Micro is our smallest, lightest controller ever. Now with full-color RGB light-ring for user feedback in full sunlight.

The DCS5 XT Controller offers a full keypad, super-bright-white LEDs for user feedback in full sunlight and a built-in PIT tag reader (optional). Keys are backlit for night work. The Li-Po battery in the controller box offers 8 hours minimum of backlit work. Custom key layouts are available with very little cost. (All keys are programmable/assignable.)

Both DCS5 boxes feature IP67 waterproof assemblies, millimeter-accurate sensors, sunlight-viewable LED feedback, Bluetooth and USB connectivity. Connect the DCS5 to DCSLinkstream or your own application.

Micro – Maximum mobility and lowest cost. Features include: Super-bright, full-color LED ring for operation feedback in full sunlight plus field-replaceable / waterproof battery packs that snap into the measure-deck.

XT – The full-size XT features a backlit keypad for data-entry and hot-keys, batteries are in the box, options for a speaker/resonator, a built-in PIT reader and extended-life batteries. The XT can even support a connected Dragonboard running Android or Windows with external touch monitor, for a complete stand-alone system without PC, if that’s your game.

Android Tablets

There are many Android tablets available on the market. Any modern tablet with an 8" or larger will run DCSLinkstream.

That being said, we have identified a handful of tablets which provide sunlight readable screens and IP67 ratings (ie, they’re submersible to 1m). You can find this selection, along with pricing, at the Big Fin Scientific online store.
